Advocate Subscription Information

All Mississippi United Methodists are encouraged to read the the Mississippi United Methodist Advocate. The newspaper publishes 24 issues a year, usually on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Subscribers to the printed edition automatically receive access to the full Online Advocate.  

The Advocate offers a variety of subscription rates to suit individuals and churches:

Individual rate — This rate applies to any individual seeking a subscription. The cost is $15 per year for 24 issues; $25 for two years and $30 for three years.

 

Church Group rate — Church groups receive a discount for submitting their subscriptions together. The rate is $12 per person per year and a group is two or more people.

Church Officials rate — Get an even bigger discount by subscribing all of your church leadership. When you subscribe all members of the Administrative Board or Council on Ministries, the rate is $11 per person per year. In addition, any other church member who wants to subscribe receives the same rate.

Every Family rate — Our lowest rate. When a church subscribes each family on its mailing list, the cost is just $9 each.

Bundles — Some churches find that more people pick up the Advocate when it’s made available at the church. Churches may subscribe at one of the discount rates and have those papers shipped straight to the church for distribution. The rates are the same, but a 25 copy minimum is required.

Clergy subscriptions — Retired Mississippi Conference clergy receive complimentary print subscriptions. Active Mississippi Conference clergy receive complimentary online subscriptions.
