Written: 9/23/2009

Revels United Methodist Church with a grant from Delta Health Alliance (DHA) is sponsoring a community garden at its location on 711 S. Broadway in Greenville. A blessing ceremony for the garden was held Aug. 23. The Church Garden Project objective is to increase access to and consumption of fruits and vegetables and to encourage congregational members in becoming more physically active. Revels UMC intends to include fresh vegetables in its monthly food distribution to the elderly and families with young children.
