Hathorn to lead Salem Campmeeting

The Rev. Dale Hathorn will be the guest speaker when Salem Methodist Campmeeting in Jackson County observes its 183rd anniversary.

The camp meeting begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 and runs through Oct. 11.

Three services are scheduled each day at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Activities are planned throughout the week. 

Joining Hathorn in leading the event will be Mitch Osborne as music leader. Hathorn will be preaching the 10:30 a.m. service and the 7 p. m. services. Area local pastors will be preaching the afternoon services. 

The campground is located one mile west of Mississippi 63 at the George/Jackson county line. Youth activities are planned for the week.
